Of course I wanted to seek out all of the best places to see and take photos in Hawaii. The first thing I did was ask my cousin, who also happened to be my chief tour guide and photographer on this trip, friends, family and strangers for recommendations. I also went on a google hunt and read through as many blogs as I could. I looked for photos that caught my eye, that meant something to me when I saw it, that spoke a story, or an idea or a feeling that I wanted to convey through my social media efforts. One thing I did come across was that sometimes people would post these great photos and won’t say exactly where it was. I don’t know what that’s about but I think each one of us is unique and can bring a different feel, purpose and beauty to a specific scene. Anyway, I didn’t let that stop me and off we went. Before I map out what we did I do want to say this, I had to prioritize my locations, in terms of importance because I had a limited amount of time to sightsee. This is because a girl wants to EAT, dance, love on her family, go to church and spend quiet time with God. I got a majority of what I wanted to see- seen, so here’s the rundown…
Day 1: Yoga (on the ground) at The Kahala. This was so necessary because my whole body was crunchy from the flight.
Travel East from the Kahala Hotel & Resort
Lookout Points; Halona Blowhole Right before Sandy Beach along Kalanianaole Highway
These need no explanation, you literally drive and there they are. Amazing. I really feel like I was in a dream. I didn’t want it to end.
Lanikai Beach ( Must SEE) Everyone mentions it and yes it was all that and then some.
Iolani Palace (downtown)
Dinner at Doraku
Day 2: SUP Yoga at the Kahala.
Took an Uber to Lunch and Shop in Waikiki
Surfing at the Kahala
Dinner at Nico’s in Kaimuki
Dessert at Town in Kaimuki
Day 3 SUP Paddleboard at the Kahala
