Spot Dessert Shoppe: NYC RESTAURANT REVIEW

Another place on the list for my staycation was Spot Dessert Shoppe on St. Marks.  I have to say I think it was a very bright idea.  I mean why not a whole restaurant dedicated to dessert.  It’s perfect.   It specializes in seasonal dessert tapas that are more than just sweet, but leverage combinations of flavors that are also light and refreshing. Taking Eastern and Western influences, balancing unique ingredients such as Green Tea, Kabocha, and Yuzu to create one of a kind confections. I’m so game.

I had two desserts because my friends are on prep for fitness competition.  I can be supportive and eat all the desserts. Count on me!!!  I started with the Milky Puff – warm puff pastry, milk ice cream, corn flakes, brûlée bananas, whipped cream, white chocolate honey comb and topped it off with Kabocha Cake: warm Japanese pumpkin brûlée cake, condensed milk ice cream, cookie crumbs.

It’s a must – and it totally sweetened my staycation. EVERYONE there is sweet too.   Make sure you try the Thai Iced Tea and the Latte is delicious.
